Most sailing yachts (both monohulls & catamarans) will have a powerful dinghy, and they will most likely be able to offer waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing and possibly kneeboarding for the kids. You will also have the eco-friendly watersports like snorkeling equipment onboard, kayaks and possibly stand-up-paddleboards or SUPs as they are known.
Charter a motor yacht and the water sports inventory just increased to include jet-skies, Hobbie cats or a Laser dinghy, and maybe Diver Propulsion Vehicles (DPVs) for use when diving. The latest water sports equipment is a waterslide that fits onto the side of your motor yacht, great fun for the kids of all ages!
Some charter yachts also offer diving from the yacht; this is usually included in the charter price for a British Virgin Island charter, however there is usually a charge for other Caribbean destinations, the Mediterranean and the Rest of the World. Certain charter yachts will also offer PADI dive instruction as a full course or as a referral course for an additional fee per student. A referral course is great because it means that you get to undertake your 4 Open Water Dives in warm clear water teaming with fish.
Some charter yachts are now offering Kiteboarding from the charter yacht for guests with experience of this sport, and some even offer tuition. If this is not an option on your desired yacht we can always fix up Kiteboarding or any other activity for you with a local recommended operator.
