Koufonisia
Koufonisia lies to the south of Mykonos. It is actually made up of three tiny islands, one island which is inhabited called Pano Koufonisi, the second island is uninhabited called Kato Koufonisi which is often visited by boat day trips from the main island and the third tiny island is called Keros. The sea that surrounds these islands is of a mesmerizing turquoise blue color that is in total contrast to the rocky landscape and white sandy shores. It is an ideal place to go in order to unwind and relax as it is one of the quieter locations within the Cyclades island chain. With numerous fantastic beaches to visit including some that can only be reached by foot or even by boat. Koufonisia is well known for the many caves that can be found everywhere on the island. On the southwest coast of Pano Koufonisi lies the village of Chora, blessed with gorgeous beaches, good local Greek food and a few local bars. Fishing is the mainstay of the island, so if you dine ashore you will get to sample a lot of fish and seafood varieties here.
The next island to visit is the famous Santorini.
